Regulatory
Due to the essential nature of the services provided, a significant portion of BBI’s assets operate under economic regulation.
Good economic regulation balances the interests of the consumers of BBI's services and those of BBI as an investor. The certainty of regulated earnings over control periods supports BBI’s strategy of stability and predictability of cashflows.
BBI has regulatory diversity including of reset periods, regulators, different forms of control and a mix of regulated and contractual arrangements. Equally important to diversity is that a further significant portion of BBI’s earnings are from un-regulated activities.
